Creating a New Topic

You can create a new topic that other users can reply to.

To create a new topic

1. View the forum in which you would like to create a new topic.  Refer to Accessing the Forum/Knowledge Base.

2. Click New Topic.

The New Topic window appears.

NOTE:  Some forums and topics have restricted posting options.  In these cases, clicking the New Topic button will display an alert.

3. In the Post Information box, enter the following:

• In the Title field, enter the title of the post.

• In the Comments field, enter the content of your post.

3. In the Topic Settings box, enter the following:

4. In the Notify of New Posts field, select one of the options.  To receive notifications by email and/or fax of new posts to this topic, select Yes.  Otherwise, select No.

5. In the Viewership of Topic, select the desired option.  The topic will viewable only by the user group(s) you select.

4. (Optional) To check the spelling in the post, click Spell Check.

5. Click Review, and then review the post information for accuracy.

6. When you are finished reviewing the post, click Save.

Your topic is immediately listed on the forum for other users to view and post replies.

NOTE:  After creating your topic, you can edit the topic title, comments, and settings at any time.  Refer to Editing a Post.

NOTE: Standard etiquette applies to your postings and usage of these forums. We reserve the right to edit or delete any posting made by any user, and to ban any user for inappropriate comments.
