To run a report
In the Report Parameters box, select the following:
In the Report Output Format field, select the desired output format. To learn more about the different format types, refer to Formats of Report Output.
In the Date Range field, enter the starting and ending dates for the report.
NOTE: Depending upon the report, this field may not be available.
In the Filter Parameters box, select the desired parameters:
NOTE: The Filter Parameters box will display only if the report is configured for parameter selection by the user.
Check the Include checkbox to include the filter parameter.
Select an Operator for the filter parameter.
Enter a Value for the filter parameter. Some parameters may have a true/false option.
Click Run Report. The data will be displayed based upon the report output format you selected:
Webpage (HTML): report results will be displayed in a new Internet browser window.
Microsoft Excel (XLS) format: report results will be displayed in a new Internet browser window.
NOTE: There is a known issue with Microsoft Excel 2000 that prevents a downloaded Excel file from being saved to your hard drive. This is usually due to the file being opened in your Internet browser. You may also be prompted for a username and password. If you have this version of Excel, it is suggested that you use the Comma delimited (CSV) format, as it ignores the Internet browser when opening the file and sends the file directly to Excel.
Comma delimited (CSV) format: a File Download box will be displayed asking you to Open the report results in viewer (such as Microsoft Excel), or Save the results to a .csv file (which can be opened from your hard drive using Microsoft Excel).
Raw text (TXT) format: a File Download box will be displayed asking you to Open the report results in a text viewer, or Save the results to a text file.
XML format: report results will be display in XML format in a new Internet browser window.
Click Return to return to the complete reports list.
