Looking up Commodity Codes

You can view the commodity codes families and all associated codes.

Accessing the commodity code lookup tool

1. From the Tools menu, click Commodity Code Lookup.

The Commodity Codes Search tool appears in a new window.

NOTE:  Click Browse to view all commodity codes for the selected code type.

To search for a commodity code

1. To search for commodity codes, enter keywords to search.  To search for a specific commodity code, type the commodity code in the field.

2. Select any of the available code types.

5. Click Search.

The commodity codes that match your search appear.

6. If several matches were found, you may need to page through the list.  Click Previous Page or Next Page to page through, or select a page to go to from the page drop down list.  The list will automatically refresh.

7. You can sort the list by clicking the column title.  Click the title again to reverse sort.

To browse for a commodity code

1. To browse for commodity codes, click the Browse button at the top of the search page.

2. The Commodity Codes Browse tool will appear.

3. The top level commodity codes for the system's default commodity code family will be displayed.

4. To view another commodity code family, select the family from the drop down list.

5. To drill down into the code family, click the code links in the table.

6. To return to the top level from a lower level, click the Top link above the table.

7. To return to a higher level from a lower level, click the code level number above the table.
